This self portrait is dedicated to Arts shared via internet. On my side I believe that such a kind of art is a dynamic expression of mankind, which is always developing and which is never the same. Thus I decided to represent in itinere the history of a painting exposing each step of its production. I also decided to arrange the images dynamically and randomly in order to represent the variability of informations and art as they are spread over the net.
Such a kind of art is strongly related to the computer, which can be seen as a tool for production and for diffusion. Personally I do not believe in the supremacy of computer art over classical art, rather I believe in a symbiosis between the two; as a consequence I am showing images of a hand made painting, but I also show electronic elaborated versions of it. Furthermore, the whole exposition whould not be possible without computers and net.
Finally, as with this painting I mean to express many aspects of my relationship with arts and computers, I am going to produce part of the painting using techniques that recall ascii art, which is typical of the world of computers and to which I am strongly tied.
